Spiritual direction is the delicate care and accompaniment that is given to a Christian in his/her journey of faith. It is an important aspect of our Catholic spirituality. By virtue of our vocation, priests and consecrated men and women are often looked upon to provide some form of guidance to individuals or even groups/associations within the parochial context or that of our apostolates.
Religious who are engaged in school apostolate, for example, should be able to provide spiritual direction for the students placed under their charge. This also applies to other apostolates, e.g. hospital apostolates. Spiritual direction, therefore, forms, an important part of our ministries. Every priest and religious, therefore, should be capable of offering some form of spiritual direction.
This program prepares priests and religious to effectively assume this very delicate but important task in whatever ministry or apostolate they are assigned.
The Diploma program would last for a period of two (2) years structured in six modules of three weeks each
